Yesterday was a bad day for N.Lo. Our company received an unwanted Christmas gift in the form of a lingering cold, and at the moment, N.Lo is in the thick of it. I’m pretty sure yesterday was the “my ears won’t stop pounding” portion of the show, and as a result, N.Lo slept a lot, ate very little, and cried and cried and cried. Not a productive work day overall. And hopefully, though occurring on New Year’s Day, not foreshadowing company events for the year to come.

If there’s any foreshadowing involved with the New Year, I’ll take today. This morning, after sleeping 13+ hours straight, N.Lo woke up all smiles. K.Lo ran into his bedroom, climbed up on his crib and said, “Hi!” N.Lo pulled himself up, leaned in, and gave K.Lo a kiss and a hug. For real! And both employees got such a big kick out of this new “skill.” It was beyond cute, and a terrific way to start off the work day.
