K.Lo has, for some time now, borrowed managerial coaching phrases to talk herself through various tasks. Today, when opening the office closet she said, clear as a bell, "Watch your fingers!" Usually, she says it in a perfect, sing-songy mock of The Manager. Some of my personal favorites are:
-"There you go!" when given anything, followed by, "You're welcome!"
-"Good job!" when completing any task with a clear finish, such as closing a door or throwing away garbage. Sometimes this one is followed by, "Five?" as a request for a High Five.
-"Sit down!" when standing on prohibited office furniture.
-"You're okay! You're fine!" after falling, spoken with a tiny air of desparation.
ah shucks.
It is sooo good that the staff can't read mendacious's writing. whew.
