I would like to remind all employees of a certain Employee Code of Conduct standard, the repeated violation of which may or may not have contributed to our most recent Casual Friday being…less than satisfactory.

Improper Use of the Employee Rest Room

  • K.Lo. Do NOT, under any circumstances, play in the sink. The sink is for brushing teeth and washing hands ONLY. While I appreciate that you don’t want to waste water, “wasting water” in your world and my world mean two different things. And while I do love that you love water, the old phrase “Give them an inch and they’ll take a mile” readily comes to mind. As well as the recent mailer sent to our company regarding flood insurance. Water-based projects are restricted to the bath and pool areas.
  • N.Lo, I realize you are now fully mobile and wish to check out all previously unexplored corners of our office, simply because you can. But if you could just go ahead and stay out of the Employee Rest Room, period? That would great, thanks. The Housekeeping Staff has voiced their trepidation of clean-up jobs involving toilet paper and water. And I don’t blame them one bit.

Please consult your ECC handbooks to see that I am not, in fact, making this stuff up. That is all.

Employees breaking the ECC, while maddening, make for good memos and slight snickering from this manager.
