N.Lo, I can barely keep up with your new words! K.Lo’s language explosion occurred around 18 mos, and N.Lo just barely began walking, so for some reason, I didn’t expect him to take off on talking quite yet. He’s so darn pleased with some of these words, I feel like they must be noted for his own records. Here are the latest:

  • Look!
  • Right there.
  • UH-oh. (Says this a lot after throwing, like it’s an *oops,* when clearly it is on purpose.)
  • Magnet
  • Monkey (K.Lo claims he said it about the monkey magnet, I’m not sure if it’s true)
  • Macaroni (sort of)
  • Bagel
  • Costco
  • Yeah (in response to “Do you want…? questions).

Also, he invariably will say his garbled “thank you” when receiving an item, which I have yet to prompt him over. He clearly is listening with great attention to his coworker. This morning in the cafeteria, while the Kitchen Staff diligently ground the coffee beans, N.Lo made sure to raise his voice, shouting his “thank you” when given his juice. He does not fail to entertain. The Manager knows this consistent politeness will only last for so long, but is enjoying the moment nonetheless.

StaticHead2

***Late breaking addition to this post: After it was published, N.Lo pointed at his own pictures and said, “N.Lo.” Boy, oh boy. Another first for the list!
