It seems I forgot a few words and phrases last week, and, over the course of this work week, N.Lo has acquired even more vocabulary.

  • All gone!
  • Completely forgot that he learned to say “doctor” and “purple” during K.Lo’s performance review.
  • Shoe (a nice companion to “sock”)
  • I-want-to-get-up. Yes, that whole sentence! His sentences are a big jumble, maybe he thinks it’s all one word? But having a loquacious coworker will introduce some precocious phrases to 16-month-old, I suppose.
  • Dog
  • Grape
  • Popcorn
  • Pasta
  • Water
  • Toothbrush? Sort of sounds like basketball, pom-pom, and crockpot.
  • Mommy (as opposed to just “Mama”). Says it in a dramatic, wailing fashion. Have no idea where he might have picked up that habit.
  • And, last night, something approaching K.Lo. Yay!

Wow! With such a verbose coworker, I'm surprised he gets a word in edgewise! :)

He's got to fight to be heard! It's like those kids who eat really fast because their older siblings would eat all the food first if they didn't.

I just described myself, growing up. :)

    impressive!

and except, I know he doesn't have to fight K.Lo for food, right? Our boys are the garbage disposals to the finicky girls, I believe.

Yes, definitely garbage disposals to the finicky girls!
